Modifying a Country Numbering Plan

If numbering plan of a country changes or is incorrect then the numbering plan used can be modified from the Edit a PBX option.

Costing Type

Identifies how the calls will be costed and is specific for a country. For all countries apart from USA, Canada and the United Kingdom this should be set to other.

United Kingdom Costing

This will cost calls as local, national, mobile, international or special numbers.

USA and Canada Costing

This will cost calls as local, local toll, in-state, long distance, international and special numbers.

Other

This will cost calls as local, national, mobile, international or special numbers.

Trunk Prefix

Is the number that is dialed to get a non local call.

Area Code Digits

The digits that identify a specific area code. This is used in costing and locating a call to a town or city.

Subscriber Digits

The digits after the area code that completes the telephone number.

Fixed Format

Identifies whether all numbers used by this country are the same length.
